Emotional Reset Process

Pre & Post Session

Emotional Reset -  Pre and Post Guidelines

Working with the Body-Mind to free your Energy

Here are some important things to know to make the most of your session.

Your Two Minds - Conscious and Unconscious (The Subconscious)

The conscious and unconscious are really just shorthand terms to describe the two main aspects of the human mind.

  1. The Conscious Mind is where we tend to "live" - the aspect you might think of as "you". It is driving by the analytical mind, the part you are aware of.  If there's a little voice reading these words in your head, that' is part of your conscious mind.

  2. The Unconscious Mind (UCM) is everything else.

The unconscious controls all of the automatic (autonomic) processes that you don't have to think about - the beating of your heart, the regulation of your blood pressure, the breathing of your lungs, tissue growth and repair, cell regeneration, immune function and so on.  It is also where our past history, our thoughts, memories, expectations and accumulated experiences reside. The unconscious mind controls our emotions, behaviours, habits, resources and our responses to the world.  In many ways, the It is the true creator of the world we live in. The unconscious mind handles about two million bits of sensory information every single second. The conscious mind deals with only about seven.

To cope with this overwhelming amount of sensory information, the unconscious mind deletes and generalises any and all information not relevant to your current conscious focus.  You have lived your life being aware of an incredible amount of information through your unconscious mind – everything is stored in there – your past, your environment, you thoughts, your experiences – and Hypnosis can help you access this information.

This means that the reality you're actually aware of from moment to moment has been brought to your conscious attention by the unconscious, down-regulation of information to fit within the seven bit capacity of your conscious mind, feeding you only that which it thinks are important our of the two million bits of information it's just processed.

The Conscious Mind is the Critical and Analytical part of you

It is constantly making value judgments. If somebody was to say to you "you really should stop doing that”, you're likely to come up with a dozen, rational sounding reasons as to why you should carry on doing it, why you’re right doing it, or you might tell them to bug off and mind their own business.  Even if you do consciously accept that you should give up doing it, it's not the conscious part of the mind that's keeping the habit in place.

Hypnosis works by bypassing the critical faculty of your conscious mind by engaging a state of focused relaxation, and works directly with the unconscious mind, where a vast library of untapped resources is available.

The Subconscious / Unconscious mind is the Library, your Life's Memory, your Programming

It stores everything that has ever happened, everything you have ever seen, experienced, learnt and absorbed is retained here. It can be likened to a vast warehouse library with millions of books that contain your history, all of your memories, thoughts and all the information you have deleted, downsized and edited to fit the conscious mind’s small capacity for things.

Accessing the unconscious mind is like walking through this vast library with the lights off, and all you have is tiny torch to shine your light on what you are looking at. The area illuminated by the light is the capacity of your conscious mind.  You literally have no idea you are inside of this vast library which carries all the information and useful insights that you could ever need, you don't even know you have access to it, you simply have to call upon it and take the time to go there. (Which is what we are doing together.)

Most of the problems we think we have are due to things that we've learned and retained at an unconscious level. They are things we have learned how to do in an unhelpful way, or we wouldn't have a problem.  Difficulties are often the result of us attempting to find a solution for a current situation. This is true even for such apparently self-destructive habits such as smoking, alcohol or sugar addiction. Through sheer repetition, the unconscious mind becomes convinced that certain behaviours or habits are helpful in some way.

In this case, unlearning unhelpful behaviours and replacing them with more useful ways can transform a situation or issue within the space of a few hours, depending on how entrenched the behaviour is. This process works by accessing the vast information held within the unconscious mind, looking at what is happening and why, and then selecting a preferred way of doing things. It evaluates and assesses the way the brain and nervous system stores and records information pertaining to an issue, and changing the way the mind is relating to it. By re-integrating memories and processes, the conscious mind can have access to more useful behaviours, insights, and knowledge, which translates into more useful behaviours.

This process is designed to help you gain insight and clarity to help you move forward more consciously.

For many people with physical ailments, this work can bring insight and resolution of their physical or emotional symptoms, enabling the body to better heal and restore itself.  Since the unconscious mind controls our automatic (autonomic) bodily processes, physical changes can be achieved by working with the mind in this way.

Working through a relaxed Alpha and Theta brainwave we are able to converse directly with the unconscious mind, the seat of our programming, issues, behaviours, obsessions, pains and problems. When we work on this level we also have access to your deepest and most appropriate solutions as well. You are the healer, we simply facilitate the process of connecting you with the healer within.

People are not broken, hence don't need to be fixed. Rather, an update to our software or operating system is required so we may move on from things resolved, with more clarity and peace.  By finding and applying more appropriate resources, we find more useful ways of being and behaving, ways that bring more favourable results and outcomes to your life experience.   Ultimately, if you had conscious access to these inherent resources in the first place, you would have been able to solve the problem consciously by thinking about it or by knowing what you needed to be doing, and you wouldn't be experiencing discomfort now.  Discomfort in this context is just a call to do things differently.  Through solving issues at the level where the problem actually exists, at the level of your unconscious mind, this work can help you make lasting changes that will resolve issues now and into the future, should the circumstances arise again.

  • Entirely Safe : Throughout the session you will always be perfectly safe. At any time you can simply open your eyes and return to your normal conscious state. You will not have to relive or discuss painful memories or traumatic experiences, we will keep you removed from these so that you will not be retraumatised through the healing process.

  • Reviewing what is held inside : The memories and thoughts you discover through the process have been there within your subconscious/unconcious mind, they have just not accessible to your conscious awareness. This process allows you to review what is residing in there and if they are true or not, if you want to keep them or not, or if they need to be reviewed or replaced with a more accurate, adult-brain memories or decision.

  • Programs created by you when you were 0-7 years old : Many of the beliefs and programming we have within us was made by us as we endeavored to interpret the environment, events and relationships around us between conception and seven years old. Throughout life there is little opportunity to review our programming from an adult perspective. While a three year old child may believe they are responsible for their parent’s fight, your adult observation of the same experience may bring different insights. This process gives you the opportunity to review peak events in your early life, and edit the memory from an adult’s perspective. Your inner child will welcome this support, care and love that you can now give.

  • All unresolved memories are stored within the physical body : this has an unshakable effect on how your body functions, whether you are consciously aware of it or not. Unblocking the body’s energy flow where old wounds and emotional trauma is stored, can do wonders for your energy levels, general health and healing process. For example, when a person has their gallbladder removed after holding onto deep resentment from the past for years and years, removal of the organ will not resolve the emotions that need to be resolved. Rather the holding pattern just moves to the next vulnerable place in the body where it continues to disturb function and block flow. The emotions need to be resolved to be truly free of their functional effects.

  • Awareness Heals : By remembering decisions you have made as a result of unresolved trauma, experiences or events from your past, associated symptoms tend to clear up simply by becoming aware of what is at play. Allowing your conscious mind to see things for what the are, not hidden by shadow and illusion, can remove all the fear and unknown factors that tend to lead to anxiety, grief, shame, guilt and regret. This awareness releases related energy blocks within the body.

  • Thoughts are innocuous – through a focused, relaxed, concentration state you will be observing insights and imprints from the past, present or future, as through the mind you have access to things beyond time. Nothing in your own mind can ever harm you, thoughts may seem real, but they are intangible, believe them or not, they are not real.

  • Symbology - The language of the unconscious mind is symbolic, imaginative, metaphorical and symbolic – whatever comes up, in whatever form, it is relevant. Seeing a shape of a specific colour, moving in a particular way, with a certain texture, sound and feeling associated has meaning, and just bringing awareness to it can evoke the deepest, most life changing healing. While you are participating in this process allow your creative senses to be free, don’t think, edit or analyse, just witness, experience and allow.See what comes to you. Your healing will arise on its own, your body is always, always on your side, and always has your safety and best interests at heart. Trust it, go with it, and give your intuitive self the space to express.

  • You can't get it wrong - Remember, all you have to do is relax, allow, observe and see what comes to you, in whatever form it comes. The only thing that will inhibit your experience is the left-brain analytical mind. If you find yourself thinking “this is silly” or “that can’t be right”, let it go, you don’t have to try, don’t have to think, can’t get it wrong. Allow your creative mind, your imagination, your innate aspect, it is the wisest part of you. Simply open to your inner sight, experiencing your way through the process with a sense of curiosity.

  • Completed issues just feel neutral - At the end of your session you will feel calm, peaceful and generally neutral. This characterises a completed process. Sometimes a process will be like the peeling back of onion-like layers, and it may take two or three sessions to really get to the core of the issue. Continue your sessions until you have reached this feeling of completion.

  • Processing Time - After your sessions you will feel tired as your unconscious mind integrates the changes and insights gathered through the session. This integration will take between one and four weeks. Make a note of what you notice during this time but don’t hang on to anything. Some things will be just passing through, let it go. Drink plenty of purified water, avoid alcohol, sugar, drugs and toxic environments. Eat clean, nourishing foods based on lots of vegetables, beneficial fats, raw nuts, seeds and proteins.

Ultimately, it is important to remember that no-one can heal you but you - and isn't it wonderful to know that you have within you the most powerful healer within you. It is innate, you were born with it. We are helping to connect you with it.

A minimum of three sessions is important.

Post Session Guidelines

The brain uses the most energy of any body system. When we do this work the brain is running a bit of a marathon, and you are having your mind rewired to a more resourceful state. After your session you may feel extremely tired. It is important to sleep or rest on the day of your session, drink plenty of water, and eat lightly of healthy foods (vegetables). Your body is resetting to the new set point.

Much of this work happens at a slower brain wave pattern (Theta), so you won't remember every step of the process, just parts of it. A successful reboot often means you forget you had the problem in the first place. This is the response of a resourceful mind. Don't dwell on the past, don't try to remember the problems/s, just embrace your new, more positive state of being.

What you read and focus on really does end up influencing your reality. Read, listen to and watch empowering and inspiring things, it will help you adjust to a happier, more positive set-point.

The Emotional Reset Process

The process we use is a simple, safe state of relaxation, which moves you out of the fast brainwaves of the awake state of Beta, and moves you into a slower, more relaxed brainwave state of Alpha or Theta, where a state of enhanced awareness and insights are naturally available.

As we interact through this process together, this is what you need to know.

  • Calm Concentration : Throughout the session will move easily into a a relaxed, focused state of calm concentration, where you will have access to imagery, sensory information and creativity, as your memory and the resourceful of mind are accessed.

  • In Control : You are always in control of the process, we are mearly guiding you. You can ask questions throughout, we will be talking through the process.
