FSM for
Adhesions and Scars

Gentle, evidence-informed therapy to help release scar tissue, ease pain, and support healing after surgery, injury or burns.

Releasing What Holds You Back

Scar tissue forms as the body repairs itself after injury, surgery, or inflammation. In some cases, this healing response creates adhesions—tight bands of fibrous tissue that bind together muscles, organs, or nerves. These adhesions can restrict movement, cause chronic pain, and impair function, especially after abdominal or pelvic surgery, caesarean sections, appendectomies, or injury.

At Healthier By Choice, Monica uses Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) to target and soften these adhesions without surgery or invasive methods. Clients often experience a noticeable release of tightness and pain in the treated area, often within minutes.

Conditions We Treat

Post-Surgical Scarring

FSM is frequently used to assist with recovery after surgical procedures, helping dissolve adhesions and reduce lingering pain. Monica has seen clients regain mobility and experience less tenderness following caesareans, laparoscopies, joint replacements, and dental surgeries.

Injury, Impact & Trauma Recovery

FSM may help repair soft tissue injuries, reduce inflammation, and restore function after physical impacts, including sports injuries, falls, and blunt force trauma. Gentle and non-invasive, it supports the healing process from the inside out.

Burn Impairments

Burn-related scars can become tight and painful. FSM can support the body in reducing inflammation, softening tissue, and improving flexibility in affected areas—particularly when traditional treatments have plateaued.

Abdominal & Pelvic Adhesions

FSM therapy can help soften adhesions and ease muscular tension around the abdomen and pelvis. Monica frequently sees clients improve from the point where light touch is painful to being able to tolerate deep pressure comfortably, indicating significant tissue release.

Head Injuries & Concussion Recovery

Post-concussion symptoms like brain fog, headaches, and neck tension may be linked to inflammation and disrupted neural signalling. FSM may assist by calming neuroinflammation, restoring nervous system balance, and reducing pain—especially when other approaches have been exhausted.

Acne & Skin Inflammation

FSM may support clearer skin by reducing local inflammation, calming stress-related breakouts, and assisting hormonal regulation. It can be especially helpful when acne is linked to chronic stress, hormonal imbalances, or sluggish lymphatic flow.
