Meet Monica Williams

Hi, I’m Monica —and I’ve been walking the healing path long before it became trendy. I started studying Naturopathy before it was even “a thing.” Back then, the qualification changed six times while I was studying. The highest credential available was the Advanced Diploma, and I went one better—I did two, combining it with acupuncture in a rigorous five-year program.

Later, when the Naturopathy university degree came along, I took a good look… and chose not to go back. Why? Because I saw the soul of naturopathy getting stripped away—repackaged to mirror pharmaceuticals, just with supplements instead of medicine. That wasn’t what I signed up for.

Real healing isn’t about symptom management. It’s about listening to the body, understanding its signals, and working with the root causes. This knowing is what lead me to FSM.

A Lifelong Student of Healing

Over the past 25+ years in clinical practice, I’ve trained in:

  • Massage Therapy

  • Bowen Therapy

  • Shiatsu & Japanese Acupuncture

  • Oriental Medicine

  • SCENAR & Avazzia biofeedback

  • BICOM Bioresonance Therapy

  • Functional DNA & microbiome testing

  • Functional pathology

  • Hypnotherapy

  • Touch for Health

  • Reconnective Healing, Reiki, Pranic Healing, Theta Healing

  • Dr. Klinghardt’s muscle testing methods

I’ve learnt a lot. And I’ve loved every step of the journey.

But these days?

FSM & Frequency Medicine Is My True North

Dr Carolyn McMakin

Frequency Specific Microcurrent Founder

I don't think this lady has any idea how much she has impacted my life, and those of my patients. This is Dr Carolyn McMakin, the founder and teacher of FSM internationally.

Of the many things I’ve studied, Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) stands has been the most interesting of all.

FSM doesn’t just chase symptoms—it seeks to treat at the deepest causative level, helping the body to heal itself faster, and more completely, and from the 'hard stuff', like nerve pain. FSM has taught me a new way to think, it makes my work super interesting and incredibly inspiring to see how the body responds to the right frequencies, the changes that are possible.

It’s elegant. It’s effective. And it’s where all my passion now resides. I have been so impressed with it I bought six machines (yah, most practitioners have between 1-3).

I will sometimes use it alongside the Avazzia or  Bicom, but mostly it's FSM all the way. It drives results. And the hard stuff, like nerve pain, fibromyalgia, and scar tissue, is easy with FSM.

FSM lets us address these issues with precision and gentleness. From my experience, I can honestly say, there's nothing else quite like it.

A Bit More About Me

I’m a mum to two glorious boys, now young men aged 20 and 18, and we live on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

These days, I’m also caring for my mum who lives (unwittingly) with advanced dementia. It’s a tender, humbling journey that keeps me in touch with the importance of slowing down, and bringing presence to each day.

I also treasure quiet connection and meaningful conversations with the boys, close friends and my life partner. Getting into nature is what we all most love to do on the weekends, after the fresh food market of course.

How FSM Has Helped My Family

Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) has become our secret weapon. It’s more than therapy—it’s everyday support for every generation in our home.

When my 88-year-old mum sprained her wrist, the doctor predicted 8 weeks of pain and limited movement. She couldn’t lift a teacup, let alone feed herself. But after just four days of FSM—focused on inflammation, tissue repair, nerve trauma, and bruising—she was pain-free and drinking tea like nothing happened. It was astonishing.

My two boys, both fairly hypermobile, rely on FSM too. With ligament laxity leading to joint hypermobility, sore knees, wrists, and tight hamstrings are an ongoing issue, especially being very active young men. After training, exercise, martial arts, or a long day at school or uni, they pop on the FSM unit to ease pain, reduce DOMS, and repair their connective tissue. They’re back to full energy the next day—no fuss, no downtime.

From sprains to soreness, colds, and enhancing focus, FSM keeps my family strong. It’s fast, gentle, and an important part of how we incorporate self care into our lives.
